Travel and booking conditions
(These general terms and conditions apply to the High 5 x Senzadi Yoga surf & yoga holiday and the Kids Summer surf camp 9 to 13 years)
Article 1 Company information
1.1. Surfschool High5 is a brand name of Surfschool Julianadorp located at Zanddijk 202 1787 PP Julianadorp.
Article 2 Booking the surf & yoga holiday or the kids summer surf camp
2.1. When booking a surf & yoga holiday or the kids summer surf camp you agree to these terms and conditions. If you are a minor, you declare that you have permission from a parent or guardian. After a booking via our website, a booking confirmation will be drawn up and sent by email. This confirms the booking.
2.2. Any booking method is considered binding. The person who books the trip is jointly and severally liable, also for all others that he / she registers.
Article 3 Non-binding offer
3.1. The offer of Surfschool High5 is without obligation and can be revoked if necessary. This can happen, for example, when a holiday is fully booked.
Article 4 Payment
4.1. After booking a surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, you will receive a confirmation email from us with the payment link within 24 hours. We request that you pay this within 7 working days and no later than 3 weeks before the start of the camp.
4.2. The booking must be paid no later than 3 weeks before the start of the booked surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp. When booking within 3 weeks before the start of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, the total amount must be paid immediately.
4.3 If payment has not been made before the deadline, participation in the camp will be excluded.
Article 5 Cancellation of the Surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp
5.1. Cancellations must be reported by email as soon as possible after the event that caused the trip (in whole or in part) to be canceled. Keep in mind that a cancellation is almost never free of charge. Surfschool High5 can only process a cancellation if it has been submitted by email by the client / main booker.
5.2. A fellow traveler is not jointly and severally liable and can therefore not report a cancellation.
5.3. After the booking has been made, you can cancel the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp up to 3 weeks before the start. An administration fee of € 50 will be charged and 100% of the booking amount will be refunded.
In case of cancellation between 21 to 7 days before the start of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, the refund percentage of the booking amount is 50%.
In case of cancellation within 7 days before the start of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, the refund percentage on the booking amount is 0%.
5.4. If you are no longer able to participate in the Surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp and you find someone else who can take your place, this can be changed free of charge.
Article 6 Travel documents and insurance
6.1. It is prohibited to travel with an expired passport or identity card. Having the required travel documents is always the responsibility of the participant. Surfschool High5 cannot be held liable for this.
6.2. Taking out travel insurance for all trips outside the Netherlands is mandatory. If you decide not to take out insurance, Surfschool High5 cannot be held liable for the damage that can be recovered from the travel and / or cancellation insurance.
Article 7 Identification obligation
7.1. In the Netherlands, you are required to show a valid proof of identity from the age of 14 when the police or other supervisors request it. Make sure you have this with you if you are 14 or older. Since 2009, children under the age of 14 must identify themselves when visiting a doctor or hospital. If your child does not have his / her own ID, we recommend that you at least give him / her a copy of the parent’s passport.
Article 8 Personal information and reporting details
8.1. Surfschool High5 requires the provision of personal information that may be important for the implementation of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp. This provision concerns the age of the participant, but also possibly a mental or physical disability.
8.2. If you want to book a surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, we assume that the participant can swim (Dutch children: in possession of swimming certificates A and B), cycle, walk, and that the participant is able to compete with his / her peers ahas no significant learning and development delay. The participant must be able to participate in the offered program components without adjustments. If this is not the case, you are obliged to state this when booking.
8.3. You are obliged to state all issues that are going on or have occurred in the past when booking. We ask this so we can take this into account. By issues we mean: medical details (physical and mental), diets, drastic personal circumstances, etc. Should a new issue occur after booking a surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, you are obliged to inform us.
8.4. If it appears that important information that affects the performance of the participant has been withheld, we reserve the right to immediately exclude the participants from further participation.
Article 9 Surf school High5 Surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp regulations
9.1. All participants of Surfschool High5 Surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp are obliged to comply with all instructions and rules to ensure the proper execution of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp. You must therefore accept the rules that are drawn up by the attending supervisors.
9.2. Any participant who causes or can cause nuisance, in such a way that proper execution of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp is hindered and / or the name of Surfschool High5 is damaged, can be excluded immediately from any further participation or continuation of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp by Surfschool High5. Violating the rules set by Surfschool High5 can also mean that you will be excluded from (continuation of) the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp. In that case, you are not entitled to a refund of the surf & yoga holiday or summer surf camp days not enjoyed and all resulting costs are for the account of the participant.
9.3. By exclusion, parents / guardians are obliged to ensure that the participant has left the location within 24 hours and travels on his own or accompanied by them to another address where the participant can go.
9.4. At least one person (parent / guardian) must be available by phone during the surf & yoga holiday or summer surf camp.
9.5. Surfschool High5 does its utmost to give the participants the best holiday of their lives. To achieve this, we have several agreements to make the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp as fun as possible for everyone.
Consumption or possession of alcohol and / or drugs is prohibited.
9.6. We are consistent in enforcing these rules. When a participant does not comply with the rules, an official warning will be issued. The parents are also informed. After the next violation, the participant will be excluded from further participation. In case of serious offenses or criminal offenses (alcohol, drugs, violence), immediate exclusion will follow, without an official warning having to be given.
Article 10 Liability Surfschool High5 Surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp
10.1. Surfschool High5 can under no circumstances be held liable for damage, loss, or theft of valuable items from participants. Surfschool High5 advises participants not to bring valuables, such as mobile phones and cameras, on a surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp. This is not so much for safety reasons, but mainly to promote the fun of the surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp.
10.2. Surfschool High5 can never be held liable for the loss of luggage. If a participant has forgotten something important in the accommodation, this must be communicated as soon as possible (preferably by email) with the contact person on location. If the items are still found, these items can be sent for a fee.
10.3. Found objects are kept by Surfschool High for 5 to 7 days after the surf & yoga holiday or summer surf camp. These items can be returned at the expense of the participant.
10.4. If due to force majeure, for example bad weather or strong wind, certain activities cannot take place, Surfschool High5 is not bound to a refund of part of the travel sum. Surfschool High5 is a flexible company and will always provide a fun alternative.
10.5. The employees of Surfschool High5 are not entitled to make any statements regarding liabilities on the part of Surfschool High5.
Article 11 Liability of participant
11.1 Each participant must check whether he is sufficiently insured for this specific surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp. Pay attention to whether surfing is also covered by the travel insurance.
11.2 The participant is liable for loss or theft of material that is given to them during the holiday.
Article 12 Visual material
12.1. During our surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp, photos and film recordings are made. This material is used for the further promotion of Surfschool High5 Surf & yoga holiday or the summer surf camp and in the broadest sense of the word. If you do not want your images to be used for these purposes, you must indicate this in advance when booking.
Article 13 Obvious errors
13.1. Obvious errors and mistakes on the website do not bind Surfschool High5.
